iMOVE announces new transport and mobility R&D award

iMOVE is proud to be the sponsor of a brand new award category at the 2020 ITS Australia National Awards – the Excellence in Research and Development Award.

The award acknowledges and congratulates R&D activity undertaken solely or in collaborative research programs, recognising an organisation for its transport technology, research, development or innovation.

‘2020 is posing unprecedented challenges, and the need for innovation, collaboration, and new technology is now more important than ever. And this all begins with research and development.’ said Ian Christensen, iMOVE’s Managing Director.

‘This award recognises organisations for groundbreaking research, development, and innovation. We seek to celebrate projects that create technology breakthroughs that have significant impact in the sector, and which bring opportunities for further development. There’s exciting work going on all over Australia, and with this award we want to shine a spotlight on the work you’re doing. Wherever you are, and whatever aspect of transport you’re working on I encourage you to share your story with the world.’

The key dates are as follows:

• 1 May — 31 August 2020: Submissions open
• 7 — 12 September 2020: Judge reviews
• 13 October 2020: Finalists announced (date is subject to change)
• 25 November 2020: Awards Presentation Night Dinner, Arts Centre Melbourne
