iMOVE Conference 2024: Register now!
We’re pleased to announce that registration is now open for the iMOVE National R&D Conference 2024, bringing together the transport community to improve the way we move in Australia. Our 2022 iMOVE Conference was a huge success, and the line-up of topics and speakers we’re putting together for the 2024 edition marks this as another must-attend event!
First up, here are the conference dates, location, and registration link.
WHEN: 23 – 24 October 2024
WHERE: QUT’s Kelvin Grove Campus, Brisbane
REGISTRATION: For more information, including timetable, pricing, and registration, visit iMOVE National R&D Conference 2024
During nearly seven years of operation as a transport R&D centre we have had the privilege of working with over 60 organisations across Australia in 230+ projects to advance transport in all its forms.
Momentum with achieving transport outcomes such as decarbonisation, inclusivity, safety and more – continues to grow! We are pleased once again to be supporting this continuing transport evolution through our next iteration of the iMOVE National R&D Conference.
After successful events in Melbourne (2019) and Sydney (2022), this time we are heading to Brisbane. Once again, we will bring together our partners and wider transport R&D community from across Australia to learn from each other and progress ideas for another wave of projects and initiatives.
What’s in the program this edition of the iMOVE Conference?
This year’s event will feature our usual blend of industry, government and academic perspectives on the hot topics that are preoccupying our community today, along with ample time for networking and informal discussions.
It’s an inclusive, friendly environment for idea and knowledge sharing in keeping with our general philosophy on effective collaboration, and we would love to see you and your team there!
We’ve not yet finalised the program (though when we do we will let you know!).
As usual, we will be covering the major topics that are preoccupying transport, government and research professionals today. This includes advances, lessons learnt, and perspectives in areas such as:
- Electrification and batteries – progress, safety, unintended consequences, reuse
- National connectivity on the roads
- Different approaches to regional transport
- Developments in accessible transport
- Transport resilience
- Latest thinking in using data for transport planning
- And more – what do you think should be on the program? Drop us a suggestion in the Comments section below.

DEBATE: WILL MAAS SAVE PUBLIC TRANSPORT?
What does the MaaS evolution look like now in Australia and overseas? Is post COVID public transport still in trouble and does it need ‘saving’? If so, what more of a role can MaaS play? How can a comprehensive MaaS offering support the public transport of the future? What other aspects of MaaS will grow in importance over the next decade?
Add your own questions into the mix for a robust discussion with our panel of experts to finish off the conference with a bang.
