10. CAVI 500-vehicle C-ITS Field Operational Test
This was the first project we announced. It sees Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads conducting an on-road field test of C-ITS safety applications retrofitted to around 500 vehicles and road infrastructure, in Ipswich, Queensland. A second project closely aligned with this is the C-ITS Pilot Security Credential Management System: Evaluation and Research.

9. Sydney Buses trial e-paper signs with real-time info for passengers
Sydney Buses ran a 2-month trial of solar-powered e-paper signs that displayed bus arrival times, network interruption information, and bus capacity to its customers.

6. Data use for improved transport management and journey reliability
This iMOVE research project, running on the impressive AIMES test bed, involves the collection and analysis of detailed data to implement and validate advanced algorithms, to support the early identification of the onset of traffic congestion and identify how best to mitigate its potential impact.

And at number 1, our most-read article this year, is the details of our first completed project. In it Australian transport users across the nation were surveyed to better understand their appreciation of, and interest in, on-demand transport services. That research will be analysed to offer insight into preparing a pathway forward for on-demand transport services in Australia.
