UPCOMING WEBINAR: Digitalisation of transport and freight
The next in iMOVEs series of project outcome webinars is taking place on 17 May 2022, and is entitled Digitalisation of transport and freight: How are we tracking in Australia, and where are the opportunities?
Digitalisation is at the core of delivering better transport. It is happening so rapidly it is hard to keep up, and countries are all progressing in different areas at different rates.
The research presented in this webinar – stemming from our Digitisation in transport and freight: Lessons for Australia project – creates a framework to evaluate digitisation globally, seeing how Australia stacks up and providing recommendations for us to get the most benefit into the future.
It looks at technology-led innovations in different transport sectors, including road, public transport, active transport, rail, aviation/air, maritime & shipping and freight, logistics, and supply chain management. Each of these sectors is further analysed in key functional areas to further understand the impact of digitisation.
The research also considers best practice in key emerging technologies such as connected & automated vehicles, vehicle electrification, blockchain, internet of things, mobile/cloud/fog computing, MaaS & the sharing economy, AI, and urban air mobility.
Swinburne University will join us to present their findings for this study bring this research to life, with a facilitated panel discussion with iMOVE.
Areas we will touch on include:
- How does Australia compare globally with its transport technology innovation progress?
- What are the high importance functional areas for digitisation?
- What is best practice in key emerging technologies?
- Discuss the recommendations for Australia
- Or, submit your own questions on the registration form
