WEBINAR: Electrification of transport
iMOVE, the Centre for New Energy Technologies (C4NET), and RMIT University present are pleased to present The Conductor Series: inter-industry collaboration on the electrification of transport. The first webinar of the series will be held tomorrow, 24 November 2022, and is entitled Challenges, opportunities, and what we don’t know.
With the rapid adoption of new technologies we are seeing significant shifts in how we plan and operate in the transportation and electricity sectors.
Electrification of transport is a particular priority for government and industry alike in our bid to decarbonise, whilst also fulfilling the needs of our communities and customers.
Distribution network service providers and departments of transport have independent and potentially competing targets and objectives that will need to be clearly understood as we plan for the infrastructure solutions required for successful electrification.
Without coordination and collaboration at the right levels, change will not happen in a manner that supports the reliability, efficiency and security standards that are expected from end-use consumers.
This series is designed to assist industry professionals working in electricity and transportation as they plan for, integrate, and operate the infrastructure required for the electrification of transportation in Australia.
Join us for the first webinar in this series where we’ll hear from the energy and transport speakers to gain an understanding of the status, challenges and regulatory cycles relating to both sectors. We’ll also discuss ways to work together to address challenges.
Speakers
Speakers are Tim Reid, Project Manager | Future Mobility Emerging Technology Customer Strategy & Technology at Transport for NSW, and Greg Hannan, Head of Network Strategy & Non-network Solutions at CitiPower and Powercor.
