London buses in decline? Why public transport in global cities is slowing to a crawl – visualized
“Few things say London more than a red double-decker. But the capital’s buses have a problem: they are getting slower.
In congested streets, services are being squeezed. And for the millions of people who rely on buses, more than any other form of London transport, journeys are ever longer.”

BMW’s new 3D maps show you what the car sees while it drives
“Modern driver aids are surprisingly capable, but sometimes the logic behind the systems can be hard to understand. When a car slows, changes lanes, or steers through an interchange, you may be left wondering why. Now, BMW is trying to make those decisions easier to understand by showing drivers what the car itself is seeing and managing. That could help drivers feel a lot better about handing over certain controls to the car.”

Congestion pricing funds $5 million program for overnight truck deliveries in NYC
“The city’s Department of Transportation announced Wednesday it will begin distributing $5 million in congestion pricing revenue to incentivize small businesses to change their delivery schedules.
The move is part of a larger goal to shift 62,000 daily truck trips to off-hour delivery — between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. — by 2040. Roughly 90% of goods and deliveries are moved through the city by trucks during the middle of the day, when the streets are most congested, according to the transportation department.”
