iMOVE’s 2020 Annual Report
As we run down the clock on the year that was, iMOVE is pleased to present a downloadable version of our 2019 – 2020 Annual Report.
Pleasingly in spite of the difficulties brought about by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic IMOVE and its partners were able to adapt to new ways of doing things, continue work on existing projects, and forge ahead on new ones,
Amongst the highlights of our year were:
- The progression of our vehicle connectivity project with Transport and Main Roads and QUT to the stage of recruiting 500 members of the Ipswich community to participate in one of the largest vehicle connectivity trials in the world.
- The formation of a multi-jurisdictional program of work to explore the medium-term effect of COVID on the movement of people and goods. This program covers the development of new modelling indicators to better assess future infrastructure requirements, better understand disruptions, and examine the sustainability and likely persistence of the new working from home paradigm.
- Progress by the federal Department of Infrastructure towards establishment of a national freight data hub as recommended by iMOVE’s freight data study..
- iMOVE has attracted six new industry partners into its project portfolio. This has created new opportunities for research that were not previously available.
