2023 ITS Australia Awards: Finalists, and iMOVE R&D award
The finalists for the 2023 Annual ITS Australia Awards have been announced, and included amongst the list are three iMOVE projects. iMOVE Australia will again be the sponsor of the Excellence in Research and Development Award.
Our congratulations of course to all 34 finalists in all categories, but we’d also like to pass on three three iMOVE that will feature in the judging. Those three, their nominators and nominated projects are:
AWARD CATEGORY: Intelligent Mobility Award
ODIN PASS: A Mobility as a Service Trial in Queensland – Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) and The University of Queensland (UQ) are actively exploring how Mobility as a Service (MaaS) schemes can enhance personal mobility locally, with a particular focus on increasing public and active transport patronage.

AWARD CATEGORY: Intelligent Mobility Award
FLEX – Flinders Express – Flinders University
Using the lessons learnt from the Flinders Express (FLEX) autonomous shuttle trial conducted at the Tonsley Innovation District by Flinders University, the Department of Planning, Transport, and Infrastructure, RAA and other industry supporters, this project will deliver new and innovative use cases for FLEX.

AWARD CATEGORY: Intelligent Mobility Award
Community Transport of the Future Research Project – Institute for Public Policy and Governance, University of Technology Sydney
This project investigated the systemic issues, opportunities, and barriers for overcoming transport disadvantage and enhancing community transport in Australia. The full partner list on the project is: ITS Australia, Department of Transport (WA), Transport for NSW, Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland), Department of Transport Victoria, and the University of Technology Sydney.

Congratulations also to SkedGo’s nomination in the Intelligent Mobility Award category, for its Adapting MaaS Technology To Create People-Centric Mobility Solutions. SkedGo was of course a partner in our MaaS trial in Sydney project.
